The In The Stands WAG of the Week is Yesica Toscanini that is the girlfriend of Boca Juniors midfielder Roman Riquelme.
How the pair met is the stuff of soap legend with Riquelme – then married with three kids – meeting the Argentinian glamour model at the 2006 World Cup.
Toscanini is best known for her appearances in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues in 2007 and 2008 but is not the most popular of figures back in her homeland.
Predictably, after the two met they embarked on a hidden fling behind Riquelme’s wife’s back until the pair got busted in Eastenders-like fashion in 2008.
Riquelme’s wife then flew into a rage as she threatened to destroy their marital house whilst a canny Yesica Toscanini seized her opportunity and became Riquelme’s permanent girlfriend!
Not even Steven Spielberg could have come up with a more, well…bizarre plot.
