Manchester City are in advanced talks to sign want-away Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero.
Aguero, who is currently on international duty with Argentina, signalled his intent to leave Atletico Madrid this summer with a move to Turin to play for Juventus thought to be his most likely destination.
However, Manchester City look destined to hijack the deal by offering Atletico Madrid £35 million for their most prized asset.
Having already nabbed defensive duo Gael Clichy from Arsenal and Partizan Belgrade’s Stefan Savic for a modest £7m, City boss Roberto Mancini is ready to splash out for the 23 year-old as the FA Cup holders prepare to launch a joint league and Champions League assault next season.
