AC Milan moved back to the top of Serie A after a brilliant 3-1 win over Cesena at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi.
Still buzzing after the midweek demolition of Arsenal in their UEFA Champions League last 16 clash, Massimo Allegri’s men carried forward that momentum into Sunday’s encounter perfectly.
Sulley Muntari swept the visitors ahead in the 29th minute before Urby Emanuelson doubled the lead minutes later.
Robinho then made the win certain in the 55th minute rendering Daniel Pudil’s consolation strike irrelevant.
The win lifts the Rossoneri up to 50 points – one ahead of Juventus who have played a game less. The pair meet at the San Siro on Saturday in an eagerly awaited Derby D’Italia.
