Valencia racked up the second biggest ever UEFA Champions League victory as they thrashed Genk 7-0 at the Mestalla to go level on points with Chelsea in Group E.
Goals by Jonas, Tino Costa, Pablo Hernandez, Adruiz and a Soldado hat-trick did the damage as Genk were given the proverbial ‘bath’ in a European night to forget.
After Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat at Leverkusen, Valencia now stand level with the Blues in second place on 8 points with the two sides set to play out an edgy qualification decider at Stamford Bridge on Matchday 6.
