Valencia and Barcelona Play Out 2-2 Thriller As Real Madrid Are Held By Racing Santander

Barcelona twice came back from behind to secure a 2-2 draw with Valencia at the Mestalla on an action-packed Wednesday night in Spain.

Cesc Fabregas was once again the hero for the Spanish champions as his 77th minute strike earned the Catalans a point when a first league defeat looked probable.

The result keeps Valencia top of La Liga on 9 points after 4 games with Pep Guardiola’s men a further two points behind in fourth place.

Meanwhile, La Blaugrana’s main title rivals Real Madrid currently languish in seventh place, one point behind Barca after Jose Mourinho’s men were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw at lowly Racing Santander.
