Real Madrid moved back to the top of La Liga after a stunning 6-2 win over Sevilla with Cristiano Ronaldo bagging another hat-trick
In what will make for some painful viewing for Sevilla fans everywhere, a rampant Real Madrid side took out their frustrations at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán following last Saturday’s ‘El Clasico’ defeat to Barcelona.
As per normal Cristiano Ronaldo was the man of the hour as the Portuguese star grabbed a hat-trick with the other goals coming from the in-form Callejon, Angel di Maria and substitute Hamit Altintop.
Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo were on the scoresheet for the hosts who could little to prevent a second successive 6-2 defeat to Los Blancos on home turf.
The win puts Jose Mourinho’s men top of La Liga on 40 points after 16 matches – three ahead of champions Barcelona.
