The image immediately went viral as the Frenchman prepared to make his appearance from the City bench.

Just who wears pants or, better still ‘boxers’ like those worn by Nasri is anybody’s guess!

Maybe they are his lucky ones, in which case it clearly had little effect as Roberto Mancini’s men crashed to a 2-1 and face UEFA Champions League elimination.
