The demand to see the back of Steve Kean grew on Tuesday night as Blackburn Rovers lost 2-1 to Bolton at Ewood Park with furious Rovers fans demanding that Kean be sacked
Goals by Mark Davies and Nigel Reo-Coker proved decisive as Bolton Wanderers grabbed a priceless 2-1 win over Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
The defeat leaves Rovers bottom of the Premier League table at Christmas and more importantly, eviscerated any hope of Steve Kean staying on as boss.
Support has plummeted to an all-time low for the Scottish coach with Blackburn fans leaving the Stadium in their throes at half-time frustrated by their sides poor performance in the relegation six-pointer.
A crescendo of boos rang out at the final whistle and a crumpled up Blackburn Rovers scarf was thrown at the under-fire boss.
A wallet containing a Rovers season ticket was also lobbed at the home bench, as well as volleys of damning insults aimed at Kean and the owners.
It appears that having lost any semblance of backing and support from his very own fans, Steve Kean’s time as Rovers coach is now finished.
The question is which sane football manager will want to take over to manage the mess that is Blackburn Rovers and those dreaded Venkys nutters?
