Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has taken the advice of us at In The Stands and recalled exiled striker Carlos Tevez who is set to return to Eastlands.

Kia Joorabchian’s advisor Paul McCarthy has confirmed that Carlos Tevez will return to Manchester on Tuesday & ‘wants to help Manchester City win the title’ having been exiled since September last year after refusing to come on as a substitute during City’s 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.
Since his exile Tevez has been linked with moves to AC Milan, Corinthians and home club Boca Juniors but nothing failed to materialize and the Argentine striker remains a City player.
Now with City’s Premier League resolve set to be firmly tested by neighbours Manchester United, coach Roberto Mancini has decided to recall the former West Ham striker from exile.
“Carlos will be back at Manchester City on Tuesday,” McCarthy told Sky Sports News. “He wants to be back playing football and that’s what he’s best at doing.
“In the couple of seasons before this year, which has obviously been fairly awful in terms of everything that has gone on post-Munich, he was the leading goalscorer for Manchester City.
“He needs to be back, he needs to be pulling on a Manchester City shirt again, he needs to be doing what he does – and that’s score goals and help his team win.
“He wants to help Manchester City win the title and I think [Roberto] Mancini has opened the door now. Once Carlos is back in the country, once he gets his fitness back, I think he will be an asset for City.”
It all sounds a little, well, prophetic as we at In The Stands specifically advised Mr Mancini that if he wants to maintain his sides’ title push (in the wake of a 1-0 defeat to Everton) he ought to apologize and bring back Tevez, who, we argued had been ostracized too quickly and too myopically.
So Roberto, we expect the cheque in the post within three working days.
