The first ever La Liga game played at midday resulted in a resounding 7-1 win for Real Madrid as Cristiano Ronaldo smashed home another hat-trick to crush sorry Osasuna.
There was no mercy for visitors Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu as a ruthless Real Madrid side hit Osasuna for 7 in a Ronaldo-inspired goal frenzy.
The world’s most expensive player opened the scoring, hit his second (the third Madrid goal) from the spot in the 55th minute and put the game to bed three minutes later by netting his 13th league strike of the season.
The other goalscorers included Pepe, Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema who bagged a brace. And to think Osasuna had the cheek to level the scores after half-an-hour!
