A horror show from Arsenal goalkeepers Vito Mannone and Łukasz Fabiański condemned Arsenal to a 3-1 defeat to Olympiakos and proved once again that Arsene Wenger must sort out the team’s goalkeeping problems.
Unbelievably bad, pitiful and far from reliable. How else can one describe the current crop of Arsenal goalkeepers currently vying for Wojciech Szczęsny’s number 1 spot?
With mistakes which will make even Massimo Taibi cringe in horror, it has got to the stage whereby the mere mention of the name Vito Mannone, Łukasz Fabiański or Manuel Almunia is enough to send shivers down the spine of…wait for it…the Arsenal defence let alone the fans.
At times it is pure comedy, alas, not if you are a disgruntled Gooner who has not seen the shiny reflection of silverware since the 2005 FA Cup final.
Just what the equally bemused (if not horrified) Olympiakos players thought of it all as they were presented with chance-after-chance by the inept Łukasz Fabiański who, single-handedly attempted to hand three points to the Greek outfit is anybodies guess.
And to make is worst, the Polish non-shot-stopper has history.
This is the same Lukasz Fabianski who famously cost Arsenal a place in the FA Cup Final after his moment of madness saw him rush out needlessly as Chelsea striker Didier Drogba rounded the Gunners keeper to settle an edgy FA Cup tie for the Blues.

Vito Mannone has fared little better although the Italian did have a superb 90 minutes at Craven Cottage in 2009 as a poor Gunners side held on desperately for a flukey 1-0 win.
Still, any credibility that Arsenal’s back-up keeper may have had swiftly evaporated on Tuesday night after his horror show in Greece as Gooners everywhere scream from the top of their lungs…
Oi, WENGER, F****** SORT IT AND BUY ANOTHER GOALKEEPER!!!
