Manchester City are on the verge of signing Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri for £20 million according to reports.
According to the Sun, Nasri is ready to put pen-to-paper in a £150,000-week deal with the Gunners receiving £20 million for their prized attacking midfielder.
With the prospect of losing captain and star midfielder Cesc Fabregas to European champions Barcelona as well, the news will come as a blow to Arsenal fans everywhere.
It was hoped after failing to end the clubs’ six-year trophy drought last season, coach Arsene Wenger will resist any attempts to sell his best players, but with 12 months left on his current Arsenal contract, Wenger is prepared to cash in on Nasri rather than risk the former Marseille ace leaving on a Bosman come next summer.
As ever In The Stands will bring you the best and latest news from the world of football. So keep tuned in!
