Manchester City are in the process of finalizing a £38million deal with Atletico Madrid for striker Sergio Aguero.

Earlier in the month Aguero signalled his intent to leave the Spanish capital for pastures new and in the wake of Argentina’s exit from the Copa America, the 23-year-old is now free to concentrate on sealing a move away from Atletico with City poised to sign the Argentine.
City boss Roberto Mancini has been keen to acquire a new striker as unsettled forward Carlos Tevez continues in his attempts to quit Eastlands, and it is believed that £38million Aguero will be the perfect replacement for Tevez.
“Aguero is young and can start to score a lot. He will become a top striker. He is 23 and now is his time,” the Italian was quoted as saying by The Sun.
“He is like Carlos Tevez and could play with Carlos, or Edin Dzeko or Mario Balotelli.
“He can play as first striker or second striker. He has good technique. After many years in a top club like Atletico Madrid he can play Premier League.
“Aguero is a good player, like Samir Nasri, like Cesc Fabregas, like Robin van Persie – there are a lot of good players in England,” Mancini added.
