Santos secured their place in the Club World Cup Final after a 3-1 win over Kashiwa Reysol thanks to goals by Neymar, Danilo and striker Borges.

The Copa Libertadores winners started the match with rip-roaring pace and quickly grabbed the lead when star striker Neymar curled in a fabulous left-footed effort in the 19th minute.

The highly-rated Brazilian’s team-mate and strike partner Borges then doubled Santos’ lead 5 minutes later when he tucked the ball beyond stranded Kashiwa Reysol goalkeeper Takanori Sugeno.

By now the 29,000 fans who had cramped themselves into the Toyota Stadium were expecting a procession but Reysol defender Hiroki Sakai reduced the arrears when he headed in a corner fifteen minutes into the second half.

However, Santos remained unperturbed and killed the game in the 64th minute, Danilo curled home a stunning free-kick to make it 3-1.

Santos will meet either Barcelona or Al Sadd in the final with the pair playing at 10:30AM (GMT) on Thursday morning.
