The In Stands Goal of The Week goes to Fagiano Okayama Star Ryujiro Ueda who set a new world record by scoring the longest headed goal ever!
Yep, its true and its equally surreal. Japanese second division star Ryujiro Ueda (pronounced Ryu-Jeeroh Uwe-da) wrote himself into the record books by scoring the world’s furthest ever headed goal in Fagiano Okayama’s league match against Yokohama FC.
Ueda’s effort from all of 58 yards beat the previous record set by Jone Samuelsen for Odd Grenland in Norway’s first division back in September and left Yokohama FC goalkeeper feeling, well…like a prat!
Remember the name Ryujiro Ueda!
