In The Stands looks ahead to the draw for Euro 2012 which takes place on Friday in Kyiv, Ukraine with England situated in Pot 2.

The long awaited draw for next summer’s European Championship finally takes place at the Palace of Arts in Kyiv, Ukraine on Friday 2 December at 18.00CET (19.00 GMT time).
With four seeding pots having already been created, the 16 qualified teams will been drawn into four groups of four teams each by name, Groups A to D.
Naturally as hosts, Poland and Ukraine are amongst the four top seeds and come Friday’s draw, Poland will be automatically placed in Group A as A1, whilst Ukraine will be placed in Group D as D1.
Holders Spain and World Cup runners-up Holland also complete the make-up for Pot 1 with the other 12 qualifiers having been allocated to the remaining three pots according to their respective coefficients.
UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino will conduct the draw, with the ceremony being hosted by Ukrainian television presenter and model Olga Freimut and Polish sports commentator Piotr Sobczynski.
The full seeding list is as follows and of course throws up the possibility of some tantalizing group matches no football fan will want to miss!
Pot 1: Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Netherlands
Pot 2: Germany, Italy, England, Russia
Pot 3: Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Sweden
Pot 4: Denmark, France, Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland
