Galatasary defender Emmanuel Eboue was on the receiving end of a hail of missiles by rumbustious Besiktas fans at the weekend.

The former Arsenal defender cowed and ducked in terror as Turkish football – mired in a cloud of disappointment after the national team failed to qualify for Euro 2012 – once again showed its ugly side.

Shame on you! For the record, the match ended in a goalless draw.
