Emmanuel Adebayor is ready to renew hostilities with his former club as Tottenham take on Arsenal at White Hart Lane in Sundays North London derby.

The Togolese hitman spent three solid seasons at the Emirates Stadium before being packed off to Manchester City where, amidst profound jeering and insults, found that Gooners everywhere had turned their backs on him.
The situation came to an explosive head as Adebayor scored a crucial third goal for his new side during City’s memorable 4-2 win over the Gunners at Eastlands in September 2009; with the preceding celebration going down in folklore.
The former Monaco man now wears the shirt of Arsenal’s eternal enemy Spurs, a club which, if we are not mistaken, ‘Sheyi’ enjoyed scoring against over-and-over-and-over again whilst at Arsenal.
Adebayor scored his first ever goal against Tottenham in October 2006 and since then went on to score against the old foe in every single match he featured against them – bar one!
The pick of his strikes was that legendary volley he smashed at the Park Lane end to seal a superb 3-1 victory for Arsene Wenger’s men back in September 2007.
So what are the chances that this Sunday Adebayor slams home a hat-trick at the Paxton Road end before running 150 yards and sliding on his knees in triumphant celebration in front of several thousand angry Arsenal fans?
Football is a funny old game isn’t it?
