AC Milan moved to the top of Serie A after a comfortable 2-0 win over Siena thanks to second half goals by Antonio Nocerino and a penalty by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
After struggling to break through a painfully defensive Siena backline in the opening 45 minutes, it was Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino who shot the hosts ahead when he drove home Robinho’s neat pass inside the box.
Kevin Prince Boateng was then felled in the box by Siena goalkeeper Zeljko Brkic and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic made no mistake from the spot to wrap up the game in the 64th minute.
The win sent the champions top of Serie A on 31 points, 1 ahead of both Juventus and Udinese who both play on Sunday.
