Real Sociedad 0-1 Real Madrid; Higuain Goal Sends Real Top

Gonzalo Higuain’s first half strike was enough to give Real Madrid a slender 1-0 win away to Real Sociedad and reclaim top spot in La Liga.

The goal came in the ninth minute and was the perfect response for Jose Mourinho’s men who were temporarily dethroned at the summit of La Liga after champions Barcelona crushed Mallorca 5-0 earlier in the evening.

Real are top with 25 points after 10 matches with Barcelona one behind and LEvante two behind with a game in hand on Jose Mourinho’s men.
