Barcelona’s La Liga title hopes are in tatters after suffering a 3-2 defeat to Osasuna in Pamplona meaning Real Madrid remain seven points clear with a game in hand

In near artic conditions and playing on an icy pitch which denied them the opportunity to play ‘tiki-taka’ football, the Catalans were unable to see off a superb Osasuna side.

Dejan Lekic netted twice for the hosts early on before Alexis Sanchez pulled one back in the 51st minute. Raul Garcia then made it 3-1 shortly after and Tello’s consolation goal proved just that.

So Barcelona remain seven points behind Madrid with Jose Mourinho’s men having a game in hand. Make no mistake about it, the 2011/2012 La Liga crown has been (unofficially) decided.
