La Liga Round Up: Barcelona Held 2-2 By Real Sociedad; Real Madrid Crush Getafe 4-2
Barcelona threw away a two goal lead to draw 2-2 with Real Sociedad at the Estadio Anoeta whilst Real Madrid beat Getafe 4-2.

A potentially decisive week in the outcome of La Liga 2012? Certainly that was the feeling amongst some of the rather nervous looking Barcelona fans at the Estadio Anoeta as their side proceeded to throw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2.
Xavi and Cesc Fabregas had put the Spanish Champions 2-0 up by the 11th minute but a goal by Agirretxe reduced the arrears before Real Sociedad’s French striker Antonio Greizmann nodded in the equalizer after David Villa’s mistake.
A few hours later title rivals Real Madrid put four past Getafe with Karim Benzema bagging a brace, Cristiano Ronaldo netting from the spot and Gonzalo Higuain completing the rout.
So Barca have already dropped points and it is advantage Madrid who with 6 points, sit joint top alongside Valencia (who overcame Atletico Madrid 1-0 at the Estadio Mestalla). Still, La Blaugrana fans need not worry too much as there remains 36 matches left to play.
