Barcelona eased pass Qatari side Al Sadd and into the World Club Cup final but the 4-0 win was marred by a serious injury to striker David Villa.
Pep Guardiola’s men booked their place in Sunday’s Club World Cup final against Brazilian outfit Santos thanks to an easy 4-0 win over Al Sadd.
Goals by Adriano Corr (2), Seydou Kieta and a neat finish from Maxwell sealed the result which also saw striker David Villa suffer a fractured tibia ruling him out for up to six months.
The European champions will now face South American champions Santos who overcame Kashiwa Reysol 3-1 on Wednesday.
Sunday’s final takes place at 10:30AM GMT and will see highly-rated Santos star Neymar face up against World Player of The Year Lionel Messi.
