Our Top 5 Players on Football Manager 2012

So, we have been playing Football Manager 2012 for a month now and these are the five player who have stood out for us…enjoy. 

Sime Vrsaljko (RB/ RWB) from Dinamo – Purchase for around 1 million

Perhaps the best right back on Football Manager 11 who is just as good on Football Manager 12. He reminds me of Antony Vanden Borre in FM09 and FM10 – they are both player who are fantastically reliable, great going forward, and most importantly, available under  2 million pounds.

Vaclav Kadlec (ST/ AML) from Sparta Prauge – Purchase between 3 and 4 million

Again, another player who is just as good on Football Manager 11 as he is on the new game. Kadlec is revered by most players on online forums to an extent that it’s boring, but he’s a must buy for many decent teams, such as Tottenham, Newcastle e.t.c. That is unless the likes of Manchester City or Real Madrid have decided to snatch him from under your nose..as per usual.

Erik Torres (ST/ AMC) From Chivas – Purchase between 3 and 4 million

Wow, what a talent. This Mexican star has already been compared to Hernandez or the little pea in ‘real-life’ but on this game he’s better. He is just your typical poacher and if you apply the right tactics he will score, simple as that.

Kara From Tromso (DM/ CM) – Purchase for 1 million 

With every Football Manager there always seems to be one or two stand out DMC that can be purchased easily for under 4 million. We’ve had the likes of Ever Banega, Ignacio Camacho, Arturo Vidal and Lucas breaking through in previous games but it was the turn of Kara to have a go in FM 2011. I have a feeling FM12 will be his breakthrough season.

Raphael Varane (CB) From Real Madrid – Purchase on Loan 

Although most people strive for an attacking team full of goals, I’m a bit of a bore when it comes to tactics and I tend to laud most my praise towards that one centre-back who lead the team to a lovely clean sheet. In the past the likes of Vincent Kompany, Breno and Leonel Galeano have played a crucial part in my teams success. But unfortunately on FM 12 I’ve struggled to find my man. However, I do recommend, if you have a lucky break when Real Madrid drop Raphael Varane into the reserves – he can be an essential loanee and possibly a future transfer.

As a final point, all these players have been scouted by Arsenal FC at some point. Is Arsene Wenger or his scouts Football Manager players?
