Newcastle striker Nile Ranger’s future is once again in jeopardy as club officials are set to discuss his future after Ranger was arrested for being drunk and disorderly in October.

“The press are a joke” so said a seemingly whiter-than-white Nile Ranger on his official twitter page @NilePowerRanger; let it be added without a hint of irony.
Even my three-year-old niece denies any wrong doing when her mouth is caked in biscuit crumbs after specifically being told not to go into the cookie jar.
The classic; “its their fault not mine” line which the Nazis used to deflect blame from themselves when standing in the docks at Nuremberg fools nobody.
Better simplify the language I suppose. Nile Ranger is a disgrace to football. Just how a young professional could throw his career (whatever one he had that is) into jeopardy like this never ceases to amaze.
ALAN SHEARER has this week made his first move as Newcastle’s manager-in-waiting by lining up a double swoop for strikers Ched Evans and Fraizer Campbell.
Shearer is likely to be installed by the end of the week as the search for a new owner at St James’ Park nears completion.
The former England skipper is favoured by all three groups bidding for control and has begun working behind the scenes to assemble a squad to get straight back into the Premier League.
The list of 10 names that was distributed throughout Europe for players available for transfer was compiled with his blessing.
Key figures Sebastien Bassong, Habib Beye and Steven Taylor were NOT on it, despite concerted efforts to unsettle the trio.
And Shearer has upped the ante this week with a double swoop for the strikers who will replace Michael Owen, Mark Viduka and Oba Martins.
Campbell’s proposed move to Hull has been on hold for three weeks while a row over money has rumbled on with Manchester United.

It’s fair to say that Shola’s career has never really taken off. The unorthodox lanky striker has made over 250 appearances for Newcastle scoring 50 goals in the process, his 50th being the penalty against Sunderland to make it 1-1. Over the years Shola has received much criticism from every angle but he’s never afraid to get out there miss a few sitters and still be a proud man at the end of 90 minutes.
Newcastle have never failed at bringing in big name strikers over the years, but this Nigerian born player always seems to get a look in, His Hamstring injury ruled him out of a move to Ipswich at the beginning of last season, Keegan was obviously delighted:
“Shola is back with us and he will be in full training on Monday. He’s fit and I am quite happy to have him back,” he told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
“For £2.4m, where am I going to get a player like Shola?
