The cat who invaded the pitch during Liverpool and Tottenham’s 0-0 draw has become an overnight internet sensation apparently
YouTube Preview Image
Its name is Tabby, seemingly homeless, loves football, does not suffer from stage fright and could do with a warm, hot dinner as well as a place to stay on Merseyside.

So what exactly was the ‘Anfield Cat’ thinking when it decided to interrupt Sky Sports’ Monday night big match???

The best answers will win a prize…

Chelsea vs Manchester United on Sunday was a huge match, undoubtedly attracting a global audience. So the marketing chaps at Chelsea must have been licking their lips at the prospect of promo-ing their club shop to the world…

But in a massive cock-up, they couldn’t even spell Chelsea properly on the computerised advertising hoarding! Oh dear…

During the first half of the Watford v Spurs match, the ESPN cameramen spotted a rather simple man who had WFC on both cheeks and clearly didn’t realise that what he sees in the mirror isn’t the same as what the rest of us see…

I can only assume he did the right cheek and then his carer had to step in and help him out with the left. Pillock…

Mario Balotelli had a rude awakening when his £120,000 Bentley GT was egged by angry Manchester United fans hours after appearing to stamp on Scott Parker.

The controversial Manchester City striker was having dinner at a restaurant in Manchester having just hours earlier netted the winner during City’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspurs at the Etihad Stadium when his Bentley GT was seen parked up next to a well-known Manchester United pub.

Alas, out came several disbelieving United fans, who, predictably let ‘Super Mario’ know exactly what they thought of him by pelting his car with eggs!

And a source close to The Sun said that it was not pretty;

“He’d parked down a side street but unfortunately it was parked right next door to a well-known Man United pub,” the source said.

“Loads of fans were in there watching the later Arsenal game and they must have come out and seen his car. They pelted his roof with eggs.

Former Celtic star Shunsuke Nakamura took part in a live stunt on Japanese TV show where he had to try to curl the ball into a moving bus…

Nakamura, who is still playing at 34 for his first professional side Yokohama F. Marinos, launched this absolutely fantastic effort from an alleyway, where he needed mirrors to time his free kick to perfection.

Just goes to show, class is permanent…

Real Madrid hard-nut Pepe was caught stamping on the hand of Lionel Messi during Real Madrid’s 2-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey Quarter-Final 1st leg.

The notoriously tough-tackling Brazilian, who has a disciplinary rap sheet longer than Mike Tyson, took advantage of a foul on the current World Player of The Year before cowardly stamping on his hand.

Reflecting on the incident Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney wrote on his official Twitter account: “Pepe. What an idiot. Sometimes people wind u up.”

An unperturbed Messi then set Eric Abidal up for the winner minutes later with ‘Wazza’ then writing: “Haha. That goal serves pepe right.”

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere also slammed Pepe’s actions as he wrote: “Poor from Pepe!”

Catch the disgraceful act above this coming from a player who clearly has been employed to break the legs of his unbanishable rivals.

Wigan midfielder Maynor Figueroa sent Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini’s blood boiling after he inexplicably handled the ball thus denying Sergio Aguero and clear run on goal.

City were leading 1-0 at the time with just two minutes left on the clock before a hopeful punt up field by Nigel De Jong was about to set Aguero clean on goal…before Maynor Figueroa decided to test his basketball skills as an apoplectic Roberto Mancini waved for a, now common, imaginary red card.

Maynor, leave your handling skills on the court please!!!

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is ready to sideline his football career in order to become a DJ after cosying up with Hip-Hop DJ Tim Westwood at an event in Manchester.

Ok, maybe kicking his already glowing football career into touch is a tad exaggerated, still, the Manchester City ace has splashed out on a variety of expensive decks and tools as he segues into the world of music.

Balotelli was at the event in Manchester alongside United midfielder Darren Flectcher, Tom Cleverly, Danny Welbeck and Phil Jones where he met Hip-Hop DJ Tim Westwood who quickly initiated him into the world of DJing and club bangers.

“Mario was talking to Tim for ages. He loves his music and was asking about equipment. They are going to meet for a session,” an insider at the event said according to the Sun.

“Mario is buying the best decks and sound system. His neighbours won’t know what’s hit them.”

FIFA President Sepp Blatter got into the groove at the Ballon d’Or awards on Monday by performing a funky hip dance with ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ pop sensation Shakira.

Emerging from the back to present an award, Blatter instantly became the envy of the room when he rather salaciously performed a hip dance alongside Shakira.

Female On-lookers watched in embarrassment whilst men everywhere were filled with envy presumably wondering how a man who once said that female footballers should ‘sex-up’ their game by ‘wearing tighter shorts’ as part of their kit.

Who says bad guys come last?!

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli was involved in an intense punch-up with a Manchester United fan at an arcade in Didsbury, Manchester.

The controversial City forward was at an arcade in Didsbury, Manchester when he came across Manchester United fan Matt Sherrington.

Sherrington had just broken the high score on the coin-operated punchbag machine before a confident Mario Balotelli strolled in and challenged him to a punch-up.

For 15 minutes the pair traded ferocious blows on the machine to see who could throw the hardest punches with champion Matt Sherrington eventually emerging victorious.

A humbled Balotelli had little to say about his defeat although Sherrington was keen to laud his exploits.

“Mario never got a higher score than me. He needs to train a bit harder,” he said brazenly.

“Mario is competitive but so am I. He took the defeat well. When he left, he smiled at me and said, ‘Well done, see you later’.”

Norwich midfielder Bradley Johnson has taunted Joey Barton after the QPR star was sent off during Norwich’s 2-1 win at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Barton had given Queens Park Rangers an early lead before being involved in a confrontation with Norwich midfielder Bradley Johnson.

The spiky Mancunian then appeared to headbutt Johnson and was swiftly dismissed by referee Neil Swarbrick as Norwich went on to grab a 2-1 win.

A furious Joey Barton then twitted his frustration after the match but cheeky Bradley Johnson managed to trump the outspoken QPR midfielder by taunting him at the World Darts Championships at Alexandra Palace.

So apparently Joey Barton’s breath stinks! OUCH!

With an evil grin we at In The Stands have rummaged through our video archives to showcase what must be the worst female goalkeeper ever as woman’s football gets scrutinized!

We do not know her name – and frankly we don’t care, but we certainly do enjoy watching the video.

Not for the eye candy, rather for the sheer haplessness of the blond-headed U17 girl between the sticks. Watch it for yourselves in amazement but please keep those kitchen jokes bottled up!
