The In The Stands Goal Of The Week award goes to Lazio midfielder Stefano Mauri whose amazing overhead come bicycle-kick helped his side beat Napoli 3-1.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xpz7zeIn an action packed weekend which featured plenty of fabulous strikes and mazy runs; most notably Lecce’s Luis Fernando Muriel Fruto’s superb second goal during his sides’ 4-2 win over Roma, the award had to go to Stefano Mauri.
How he managed to execute an almost perfectly timed overhead kick in Lazio’s thrilling Champions League qualification clash with Napoli was the stuff of beauty.
Al Wasl coach Diego Maradona is in trouble again after getting involved in a fight with opposition fans who hurled abuse at his sides’ WAGS!
With his team losing 2-0 at second-placed Al Shabab in a tightly-contested affair, the Al Wasl coach was nerved after noticing that certain sections of the home crowd were abusing his sides’ contingent of WAGS, which incidentally included his girlfriend Veronica Ojeda.
Not one to stand aside in phlegmatic fashion, the Argentinean footballing legend waded into the melee by confronting the crowd and had to be duly pulled away by the police as well as security after things boiled over.
Can this man ever refrain from creating negative headlines?!
Five players were sent off in the dressing room after a post-match brawl following Crawley Town’s 2-1 win at Bradford on Tuesday night.

In a bad tempered encounter, five players including; Bradford’s Andrew Davies, Luke Oliver and Jon McLaughlin, as well as Crawley’s Kyle McFadzean and substitute Claude Davis were red-carded in the dressing rooms after the 22-man post-match fight.
Stunned viewers at Bradford’s City’s Valley Parade watched on in horror as fists flew, knees went up and tempers flared shortly after the final whistle.
In the wake of the incident, Bradford boss Phil Parkinson has vowed to get tough on anybody in his team who was involved in the melee as has his Crawley Town counterpart Steve Evans.
“It is a shame because it takes away from what was an outstanding performance,” he said.
For the record a late goal by striker Gary Alexander sealed a 2-1 win for the visitors who moved into the third automatic promotion spot. Not that anybody noticed!
Al Wasl boss Diego Maradona is the butt of our jokes here at the In The Stands offices after his crazy roly-poly reaction during a game.
The fiery, yet utterly lovable Argentine saw his side miss a glorious opportunity to score during Al Wasl’s match with Emirates Club in the U.A.E league and reacted like, well most managers would – that is with a technically perfect roly-poly!
The footballing legend then sprung back up as quickly as he went down before grasping his head firmly in his hands.
Now if he does that when they miss, what exactly does he do when his team scores?!

Peter Crouch scored an amazing 30-yard volley and what may well turn out to be the Goal of The Season as Stoke held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw at the Britannia Stadium.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xpnz8nThe lanky Stoke forward juggled Jermaine Pennant’s knock down with his right knee 30-yards from goal before unleashing a simply unstoppable first-time volley which flew beyond a stunned Joe Hart between the City sticks.
Crouch has scored some great goals before, not least his bicycle-kick effort against Galatasary in 2006 whilst playing for Liverpool, but nothing will trump this latest effort.
Goal of the Season? In the words of Sarah Palin…’You’betcha!’
The In The Stands Goal of The Week goes to Malaga midfielder Santi Cazorla whose stunning freekick helped his side earn a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.
The goal was made all the more dramatic due to the fact that it was virtually the very last kick of the game and dramatically brought to an end Real Madrid’s 11-match winning run in La Liga.
Still, Jose Mourinho’s men still remain eight points clear of Barcelona.
A sex tape starring X-Factor judge and former N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos is doing the rounds online with speculation as to who the male figure is.

The ‘Tulisa sex tape’ seemingly stars the 23-year-old herself and having been leaked on the Internet on Monday morning, shows the former N-Dubz singer engaging in sordid acts of oral sex which she happily performed on the male subject.
The video, which is too explicit for In The Stands to broadcast, was allegedly filmed backstage at a music gig on a Blackberry phone and shows Tulisa – seen in a pink tracksuit – being recorded grabbing, tasting, licking and sucking the male’s ‘manhood’.
The male himself is unknown although rumours abound that he is a Premier League footballer who allegedly plays for the reserves of a top Premier League side.
His exact details and name have yet to be confirmed although it is understood that a hugely embarrassed Tulisa has called upon her lawyers having deemed the video a fake.
The In The Stands Goal of The Week comes courtesy of striker Fernando Llorente whose Van-Basten-like volley helped Athletic Bilbao overcome Manchester United in the Europa League

The big Spaniard already has an amazing 22 goals to his name this season but none have been finer than his first-time volley as Athletic Bilbao trounced Premier League champions Manchester United in a sizzling Europa League second-leg tie.
Llorente seized on Ander Iturraspe’s long pinpoint pass before volleying emphatically past De Gea to give Bilbao the lead and bring back memories of Marco Van Basten’s infamous goal for the Netherlands against the USSR in 1988.

Catch the stunning strike above and make the comparisons. It was all-in-all terrific stuff.
Santos striker Neymar scored an amazing hat-trick to help his side beat Internacional 3-1 in the Copa Libertadores with the second and third goals being lung-busting 40 yard runs!

Neymar’s treble downed Internacional in Wednesday night’s Copa Libertadores clash and bolstered his already bristling reputation as the Brazilian’s suitors grow by the day.
The first came of his three came from the penalty spot with the second strike seeing the highly-rated youngster reach a maximum top speed of 31km/h with the ball at his feet, skip numerous Internacional tackles before tucking the ball into the net.
The third goal was just as good as Neymar ran through the midfield and ended by lobbing the goalkeeper.
His reaction afterwards? “I need to watch on the television to understand exactly what I did in the goals! I only know that I was running, dribbling and when I looked up, I had the goal in front of me,” how sweet!
A Belgium amateur match took on a bizarre twist when a player was left KO’d following a serious clash before being sent off by a rather unsympathetic referee.

Well the saying is that referees on the continent are that bit more harsher, that bit more stricter as well as less tolerant than their English counterparts.
Poor old Julien Lecomte witnessed this first-hand after he was dismissed by the man in black (in this case red) despite being sprawled out on the pitch almost lifeless after a sickening clash with an opposition defender.
Whilst being stretched off by medics Lecomte was shown a red card to the horror and fury of his team-mates. Now that is cruel!
