In 2005 Rio Ferdinand was voted by GQ readers as Britain’s best dressed man, this year he slipped to 36 but this is still a respectable position and means the man can still dress.

Now I’m a bloke who knows the basic concept of dressing, but I’m no more than a t-shirt and jean kid of guy – So I consulted Rio’s fashion bible to give me some much needed tips.

“Match your shoes with your belt, avoid black and navy, don’t wear full length socks with shorts, no socks and sandals, wear low cut tops to show cleavage, wear short denim pants and complement with a flowery bikini”….whoa, whoa, whoa rewind, those  last two things are ways a woman should dress, even I know that.

…That’s the last time I take fashion tips from Britain’s best dressed man.
