The figure for the 31 year old is believed to be in the region of 2 million Euro’s as he departs from relegated club Hertha BSC.

The centre back, who often plays at right-back for the German national side , has had a decent tournament for Germany now in his favoured position at centre-half. Friedrich is likely to partner Italian Barzagli at centre back next season; on his world cup form he looks a decent signing.
