Steven Gerrard, You Are No Role Model…

Steven Gerrard needs to take a long hard look in the mirror, despite being a Liverpool player I used to admire this player (I’m a Man Yoo fan). But in the last few months he has let down everyone who looks up to him…
1) Last night Gerrard smashed Michael Brown off the ball. Yes we know that Michael Brown is probably the biggest cock in the game but that doesn’t mean you get to do what you like, this is a clear elbow to the back of the head. Rafa knew the danger of keeping him on so he duly subbed Gerrard off. Let your football do the talking man… (video via 101 GG)
2) The V flick at the ref. It was just last week when he flicked the V’s at the ref and got away with it. Rafa claimed at first that he didn’t see it and then he outrageously said “Sometimes you move your fingers. It was nothing. We are not considering it, it was nothing.” The FA dismissed it. But anyone who watched the match saw him tell the ref to fuck off at the same time so it wasn’t just nothing.
3) Obviously Gerrard admitting that he punched that fella in a bar… “I remember swinging my left arm and connecting with the side of Marcus’s head…I remember swinging my right hand two or three times.” But because he’s a footballer he gets away with it.
I really hope he gets a three match ban for the elbow from last night so he can learn he is not untouchable. Add any more examples you can think of as a comment.
Sort it out Gerrard or else you will lose fans like me…

I agree he’s a terrible “role model” and the way he’s built up as this great guy makes it extra annoying when he does this stuff, but I still want something done about the flying kick by evans on drogba. That was far worse, and just got ZERO attention after the game. It was far worse than any of these incidents that have received retrospective bans this year, and nobody said a word about it after the game.
The only reason you want Gerrard to get a 3 match ban is so that you have a better chance of beating us on Sunday.
I take its its fine for Brown to throw the elbow into Stevie, but perish the thought he gets a taste of his own medicine, Depending on which angle you view that challenge, makes all the difference, hell Joe Royal couldn’t even call a blantent penalty, even after the reply was shown at least 6 times !!!
It’s more media bullsh*t making a story when there isn’t one.
If Lucas had carried out that challenge, nothing would have been said, but Gerrard sells papers, and thats all this amounts to
And as for Browns comments on the pitch mouthing the words “Three match ban” to the ref, he needs to take a good look at himself, because we dont want to see players trying to get other players sent off, by mouthing off at the ref.
How about explaining how Rio gets to become England captain when he can’t even pass a drugs test (in the given time)
