Top Ten of the Week – Premiership Foreign Imports.

1. Gianfranco Zola
The Magician was a true gentleman of the game; He was Mr Style of the Premiership, despite being voted worst dressed at Chelsea. Now doing well at West Ham – may he stay in the English game forever. Watch the best of Zola here
2. Dennis Bergkamp
The Flying Dutchman, ironic being that he is a non-flyer but true to his efforts on the pitch. Feast your eyes on his goal against Newcastle. Watch that goal here
3. Thierry Henry
La Genius. Now doing well at Barca, he was the greatest finisher to grace the league. Watch 5 of Henry’s top goals for Arsenal here
4. Peter Schmeichel
The Great Dane cost Fergie a mere 530k not bad considering he has never replaced between the posts at Man United. Watch Schmeichel’s save of the decade here
5. Patrick Vieira
Paddy was the engine that drove Arsenal’s invincibles to 49 games unbeaten, Wenger has never replaced him.
6. Eric Cantona
Ooh aah, Cantona! Is still chanted among the United (Surrey) faithful which says a lot about what this icon meant to them.
7. Cristiano Ronaldo
I don’t want to put him on the list, but a player of this quality can’t be excused.
8. Jaap Stam
The definitive centre back, Fergie singled him out as the foundation of Manchester United’s 99’ treble winning season.
9. Ruud van Nistelrooy
Lethal. After five seasons at Manchester United he scored 150 goals in 220 appearances and broke the club’s all-time European scoring record with 38 goals.
10. Claude Makélélé
He is the defensive midfielder of the modern game, so synonymous with the position that it is sometimes called the “Makélélé Role.”
Honourable mentions: Dwight Yorke, J-F Hasselbank Marcel Desailly, Ruud Gullit
Gus Poyet, Jurgen Klinsman and Paulo Di Canio.

Where is Sami Hyypia and although Zola is awesome he’s not my number 1.
Ollie, Ronaldo is not a legend. Yet!
He still have a long way to go.
All other in the list has proved that they can play
great football until the age of 30+ with a lot of different
team and different approach of play.
