A few months ago I was arguing about how unfair Adrian Mutu’s fine was that he owed his old club Chelsea, who sacked him from the club back in 2004. But if early reports are to be believed this boy is rather rather daft…
It seems that Mr Mutu has been caught taking illegal substances again. This time it was not for cocaine but for a rather embarrassing anti-obesity drug called sibutramine.
An Italian Olympic Committee statement said: “CONI announces that a positive test has been confirmed on Adrian Mutu with the presence of metabolics of sibutramine found in tests done by the FIGC on January 10 after the Serie A game between Fiorentina and Bari.”
Mutu is currently appealing his £14 million fine from Chelsea however it looks like the governing bodies that be, will look less favourably on the lad because of his latest indiscretion. His team-mates had even offered to help him pay his fine, but that also doesn’t look likely now.
Silly silly boy, has only got himself to blame. Adrian needs to know that he shouldn’t be scared of getting fat, he needs to embrace it like I have…
