Serie A Review
With the biggest game probably being at the Artemio Franchi between Fiorentina and Napoli, Serie A did not present too much interest this weekend. However Sampdoria were hoping that Inter would drop points to jump above them to the top the table. Juventus needed a change in fortunes after not winning in four while AC Milan want
ed to continue their two game winning streak against Chievo.

Serie A 24th/25th October Results
Sampdoria 4-1 Bologna
Inter Milan 2-1 Catania
Bari 2-0 Lazio
Palermo 1-0 Udinese
Atalanta 3-1 Parma
Siena 0-1 Juventus
Roma 0-1 Livorno
Cagliari 3-2 Genoa
Fiorentina 0-1 Napoli
Chievo 1-2 Milan
Round-Up
Another great performance led Sampdoria to a 4-1 win which required Inter to lose to put them at the top of the table. Unfortunately for Sampdoria, late Saturday night, Inter secured a 2-1 victory over Catania to remain at the sumit.
Milan won their third game on the bounce against Chievo after going a goal down when Nesta appeared with a brace. This has pushed them up to sixth with four wins in total. Seven points behind rivals Inter however still puts them at a major disadvantage in the title race.
Juventus finally managed a victory to reignite their title challenge with a second goal from Amauri in as many games. However, they still remain four points behind leaders Inter so need the champions to start dropping points. Roma lost to bottom of the league Livorno as they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the Olimpico to compound the problems facing new manager Claudio Ranieri. And finally the biggest game of the weekend turned out to be a let-down with a late winner from Christian Maggio even after heroics from Sebastien Frey (penalty save and all-round great performance).
