Pottinger tackles… Boro sack Southgate
Well it looks like the Middlesbrough Boo Boys have finally had their way, Gareth Southgate has been sacked as manager of Middlesbrough.
This is absolutely ridiculous. As a Middlesbrough resident (But not a fan) I know how completely fucking fair weather the fans there are. A piss-poor 18k attendance saw them beat Derby, though it was a Tuesday game, it’s still shit.
I absolutely love Boro’s chairman Steve Gibson because he sticks by his managers and gives them time to work with. This is the first time he has ever sacked a manager and I feel he will regret the decision. For years Middlesbrough had been a poor team in the Premiership and managed to stay up simply because they didn’t change managers as often as a peadophile changes neighbourhoods.
To put it simply, Middlesbrough are 4th in the table. They are a point off the top spot. Idiotic reactionary fans, expecting more from a club that doesn’t have any money or a large enough fanbase, have destroyed one of the few positive things about their club. Before today Middlesbrough were a beacon of hope for old-fashioned club ownership, against a backdrop of foreign owned clubs, swapping managers like they were strippers in a rap video.
Rant over.
What chu think?

They could have gone top with the next win and Southgate would have been the most popular man in the North East. It’s ridiculous to sack him.
They’ve not been scoring at home but 3 home losses in a row shouldn’t have warrented this.
