But after the Arsenal-City game I thought defensively he was poor and his positioning was off for a couple of goals. Against City his positioning didn't seem to be brilliant and from what I saw (i may be being over critical) he could have cut out two goals. looks to be from the growing trend of defenders who are great going forward but are a bit suspect defending... if u asked me about vermaelen 2 weeks back i would have been waxing lyrical about the boy. but i don’t think he is the signing of the season.
