Serie A Review
Victories against Georgia and Bulgaria have put the Italian national team in prime position to win their group. With the Champions League and Europa League starting in the week, Italy will be hoping for good performances from their sides.

The third week of the Serie A arrived with Sampdoria surprise league leaders ahead of Juventus and Genoa. There were no surprise results this weekend although the big clash between rivals Juventus and Lazio finished with a good victory for the Old Lady.
Livorno 0-0 Milan
Lazio 0-2 Juventus
Udinese 4-2 Catania
Palermo 1-1 Bari
Fiorentina 1-0 Cagliari
Bologna 0-2 Chievo
Atalanta 0-1 Sampdoria
Inter Milan 2-0 Parma
Siena 1-2 Roma
Genoa 4-1 Napoli
Another poor performance by Milan ended in a draw against Livorno. Questions are being asked of Leonardo and his team as to whether they will be able to challenge for a champions league spot nevermind the title. Goals from new signings Eto’o and Milito gave Inter the victory moving them to fourth in the league.
Late goals from on-loan Caceres and Trezeguet gave victory to Juventus over Lazio. Roma took till the 90th minute for Riise to score the winner against Siena but after a poor start, they are hoping that this will get their season up and running. Genoa have continued their great start with a big victory against Napoli. Goals from Floccari, Mesto, Crespo and Kharja have placed Genoa at the top on goal difference.
