Liverpool really are an American club…
How do we distract our fans from the fact that we have no money to build the new football stadium we promised? Help fund a team to compete in the Superleague Formula of course. Ah American style distraction techniques…

The Superleague Formula, what is this you ask? It’s actually quite an interesting concept that merges Formula one style racing and football. Teams from across the world have signed up to this which includes AC Milan, Tottenham, Lyon and of course Liverpool.
Now for a club that recently announced that work on the new stadium has to wait until the “credit crunch” is over and with revelations that the owners are charging all their expenses to the club, you would think they would be a bit more frugal with the money they have.
Well to me this seems very much so like an American government style distraction ploy, sort of in the mould of attack Iraq to distract everyone that they are not succeeding in Afghanistan. Liverpool’s motor team find themselves top of the league in the Superleague with four rounds gone and will probably win the six-race season.
I’m just waiting for the PR guru’s at Anfield to promote this achievement till its death…
