Over the last few months I’ve started to really like Arsene Wenger, his business plan is spot on and considering the money he has spent he probably the best manager around, as his sides are successful and play beautiful football. But one thing has upset me over the last couple of days…

Your boys were fouling more at Old Trafford. Forget the stats because a gust of wind was knocking down the Arsenal players, but genuine fouls, Arsenal had more and as a result received more bookings. Whilst you may feel aggrieved that you didn’t get the Fletcher/Arshavin penalty decision go your way, the Rooney incident was a stonewall penalty and however biased I may be as a United fan, the former was not as he got the ball.
As I sat in the stands at Old Trafford I enjoyed your show in injury time, it was hilarious and you endeared yourself to football fans across the world.
But quite simply, you need to learn to lose with a bit more dignity after making your comments about United being anti-football. This wasn’t anti-football this was your boys being soft when they chose and tough the next minute.
“I have seen a player who plays on the pitch only to make fouls. For me, this is a point that is more urgent than diving,” Wenger has said. Well Abou Diaby and Alex Song were fouling across the middle of the park on Saturday and the ref did not pick up on them all. But when Fletcher tackles with strength this is anti-football? Behave.
