The BBC do an ITV…

If you were watching (like I was) the new Football League Show on the BBC on Saturday night you would have seen this strange break of play during Torquay vs Chesterfield.

I changed my TV over to see if it was a problem with my feed but it seems the BBC had made a mistake and by the time the football came back on it was a different game. A day later I read on the Mirror website that the BBC had in fact played a scene from Blue Crush which was being shown on ITV at the time.

Not a great start to the show for the BBC but it was nicer to see action from the ‘Football League’ on a Saturday evening rather than a Sunday morning and without adverts.

It was ITV who started this trend an Everton – Liverpool FA Cup tie. They cut to adverts just as Gosling scored the winner, with viewers across the majority of Britain missing the goal. Hmm I want some Tictac’s now…
