Delph bid accepted

BBC sport has just reported that Leed’s prodigy Fabian Delph may be on his was to Aston Villa.

The highly rated midfielder, whom Manchester City and Everton have unsuccessfully tried to sign, had an offer from Villa accepted today believed to be in the region of £8 million.

The League One Young Player of the Year looks a sound replacement for Garry Barry.

  • Though it’s a shame to see him go I’m glad he’s going to a proper club where he can develop under a brilliant manager instead of warmng the bench at City. The only thing that annoys me is knowing the money will not go into new players but into greedy Ken Bates’ pockets.
