According to the Daily Star, Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is set to bid £12 million for Peter Crouch.
That’s right, you read it properly, a return to Anfield appears to be on the cards for Peter Crouch. It comes as Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp refuses to pay over the odds for Mr Crouch to return to White Hart Lane after negotiations with Sunderland stopped (as we predicted).
The Star is reporting that Benitez is keeping tabs on Crouch as Voronin looks set to leave scousers. Strange move, but Liverpool’s transfer activity really shouldn’t surprise us any more.
